PRESQUE ISLE – Gary W. Howe, 67, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1938, in Wade, the son of Millage and Marjorie (Maynard) Howe. Gary worked as truck driver for many years. He loved to hunt, fish and cook. He especially enjoyed cooking and spending time at his special camp in Garfield. He was a member of the Church of Jesus and he loved his church. Gary is survived by his mother of Washburn; his wife, Gloria (McCausland) Howe of Presque Isle; six sons, Stevie of East Hartford, Brian of Fort Fairfield, the twins, Jay of Easton and John of Newport, Leon of DeLand, Fla. and Scott of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Nicole Black of Caribou and Betsy Howe of Presque Isle; four brothers, Freeman Howe of Presque Isle, Thomas Howe of Mapleton, Richard Howe of Wade, and Donald Howe of Denton, Texas; three sisters, Marilyn VanScooter of Washburn, Shirley Smith of Caribou, and Alice Lapointe of Riverside Drive, Calif.; 17 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at the Church of Jesus, Chapman Road, Presque Isle, with the Reverends Earl Durost and Harold Fulton officiating.
