BANGOR and MACHIAS – George B. Nangle III, 53, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 22, 2007, at Downeast Hospital, Machias. He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Providence, R.I. He was the brother of Linda Hake of Bangor, Debbie Dompke of Inverness, Ill., and Diane Adam of Elgin, Ill. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Terry Dompke and Bob Adam; his loving girlfriend, Carmen Peters; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. George was predeceased by his parents, George and Dorothy Nangle. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at CancerCare of Maine at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Downeast Hospital and Marshall Manor for all the love and care you bestowed on George. A memorial Mass for George will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marshall Manor Activity Fund, 10 Cooper St., Machias, ME 04654. Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
