CRYSTAL – George C. Dill, 30, died July 22, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born June 5, 1975, in Stratford, N.J., to George Ghegan and Rose Pollard. George was a 1993 graduate of Southern Aroostook Community School. He enjoyed cooking and was an avid outdoors enthusiast. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. George also participated in competitive weight lifting, which earned him several awards and trophies. He is survived by his most prized accomplishment, a son, Jeremy Riley Dill of Houlton; his parents, William and Patricia Dill of Crystal; two brothers, Jeremy Mrkwa and his wife, Angie, and John Michael Ghegan and his wife, Shannon, all of Alabama; two sisters, Susan Hardy and her husband, Dean, of Merrill and Jennifer Shepard and her husband, Danny, of Alabama; a niece, Jacquelyn Hardy of Merill; and a nephew, BillyDean Hardy and his wife, Diana, of Glenburn; along with several nieces and nephews in Alabama. George also leaves behind two very special friends, Carl Dudley of Georgia and Missy Lane of Saco. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls, with funeral services being held at 8 p.m. A time of fellowship immediately following.
