SHERMAN – George “Denny” Grass Jr., 80, died Nov. 9, 2003, at Houlton. He was born March 28, 1923, in Monticello, the son of George Sr. and Verla (Crouse) Grass. He was a past member of the Odd fellows. He was survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna (Brown) Grass of Sherman; four children, Dana and his wife, Coralee Grass, of Winterport, Georgia and her husband, Allen Randall, of Cambridge, Frank Grass of Stacyville, James Grass of Hope Sound, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth MacDonald of Houlton, Leota Hare of Hodgdon, Maxine Smith of Monmouth; one brother, Dean Grass of Monmouth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Galen “Bud” and William “Bill” Grass; and one sister, Iona Merrill. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with the Rev. Rodger Good officiating. Interment will be in the Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in Denny’s memory to Bowers Funeral Home.
