MADAWASKA – Gerald Gag-non, 72, passed away June 12, 2007, at a Fren-chville nursing home. He was born May 16, 1935, in Madawaska, the son of Hampy and Annette (Michaud) Gagnon. Gerald was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147, Madawaska, having served as past legion commander of the post. He also served as a member of the Madawaska Police Department from 1971 to 1978. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing and ATV riding. Gerald is survived by his wife, Sally (Thibodeau) Gagnon of Madawaska; two daugh-ters, Kellie Bosse and her husband, Bruce, of Madawaska, and Michelle Dubord and her husband, Clayton, of Vassalboro; one son, Grer Gagnon of Jacksonville, Fla.; six brothers, Reginald “Babe,” Reynold, James, Robert and Daniel Gagnon, all of Madawaska, and John Gagnon of Nashua, N.H.; eight grandchildren, Erica Cyr, Benjamin and Ian Dubord, Jesica, John and Savannah Gagnon, and Kathryn and Jillian Bosse; one great-grand-daughter, Emilie Drake; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Clifford Gagnon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at Daigle Funeral Home.
