PATTEN – Henry Rosaire Binette, 72, passed away June 12, 2007, surrounded by family members and friends. He was born April 13, 1935, the son of Rosaire and Etna (Morriette) Binnette of Exeter, N.H. Henry was employed by Hillyard Sales Co., for 22 years and owned and operated Binette’s Gym Floor Restoration. In addition, to being a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he was head of the financial committee for St. Agnes and St. Paul’s Catholic Churches. He was also a former town selectman for the town of Patten and most recently, selected for the town planning board. Henry loved hunting and fishing. He was the president of the Southern Aroostook Chapter of the Maine Trappers Association. He was also former president of the Patten Snowmobile Club and a Maine guide. Henry will be missed by all who knew him and will be remember for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Grant) of Patten; two daughters, Theresa Binette of Pennsylvania and Anne Marie and her husbamd, Roger Hall, of Gardner, Mass. Henry had two special grandsons who called him Pepe, Alexander and Curtis, both of Gardner, Mass. He is also survived by two brothers, Paul and his wife, Jean, of Exeter, N.H., and Tom and his wife, Gail, of Norway; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and one son, Michael. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Bowers Funeral Home, 56 Sherman St., Island Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Patten, with Fr. Eddy Morin, celebrant. Interment will be at Patten Cemetery.
