BELFAST – Gerald W. Griffin, 55, passed away Dec. 10, 2007, at a local hospital. He was born May 7, 1952, in Camden, the son of Lonnie and Florence (Roberts) Griffin. He worked for Penobscot Poultry, then for many years at Camden Tannery and most recently at Penobscot Frozen Foods. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Belfast. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was predeceased by his mother; a brother, Lonnie Griffin Jr.; and a sister, Beth Elaine Griffin Hutchins. Gerald is survived by his father, Lonnie C. Griffin of Camden; sister, Linda Griffin of Thomaston; brothers, Dale Griffin and wife, Lucille, of Rockport and Stanley Griffin and wife, Sue, of Union; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ken Parker officiating. Those who wish may make donations in Gerald’s memory to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 581, Belfast, ME 04915. Burial will take place in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Appleton.
