CARIBOU – Gerald W. McBreairty, 41, died Aug. 4, 2006, in Bangor. He was born Oct. 15, 1964, in Van Buren, the son of Larry and Marlene (Monteith) McBreairty. Gerry was a 1983 graduate of Caribou High School and was employed by the Caribou Utilities District, Water Works Division, for many years. He attended the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the Caribou Lions Club. Gerry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family. He is survived by four daughters, Sarah, Danielle, Kristin and Erin McBreairty, all of Caribou; his mother, Marlene of Caribou; five sisters, Christine Mockler of Caribou, Cheryl Dubois of Bangor, Carol Corey of Hermon, Lorie Wing of Levant and Linda McBreairty of Hermon; his grandfather, Ransford McBreairty of Allagash; one grandson, Bryce; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his father, Larry, in 1998. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Private family services will be held from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Anna Beach, officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery.
