MILLINOCKET – Geraldine “Jeri” Gregory passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, surrounded by her family. Jeri was born, Oct. 30, 1943, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Morrison) Ruuk. Jeri lived a short but full life. A licensed beautician, she received her GED as an adult. After receiving her CNA certification, she worked her way through EMTCs LPN program, and worked as an LPN for several years. She loved to spend time with her family, including her “baby” Chewie. She was fortunate to have a supportive and loving family and will be greatly missed. Jeri is survived by her husband of 41 years, Milton (Greg) Gregory; her five children and their spouses, Kevin and Jennifer Gregory, Glynnis and Ron Libby, Alice and Charlie Murphy Jr., Brian and Janna Gregory and Victoria and Steven Gray II. She will be sorely missed by her 11 grandchildren, Greg, Jerica, Elizabeth, Tabitha, Reuben, Kayla, Ashley, Steven, Emily, Kassandra and Steven III. She also leaves behind her brothers and sister, Harold Ruuk, Paul Ruuk, Cathy Proctor, and Chris Ruuk. She was predeceased by her parents, an infant daughter in 1966, and her sister, Sandra. The family would like to Thank Dr. Noah Nesin and his staff for their unequaled care as well as CHCS Hospice Program, with special thanks to Kathy Bishop for her help and compassion. There will be no services, at Jeri’s request. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeri’s name to I CARE ministries in Millinocket. “When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. At the end, you had lived your life so you were smiling and everyone around you was crying.”
