VAN BUREN – Gerard Lefrancois, 69, died Feb. 22, 2008, at his Main Street residence. He was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Notre Dames de Lourdes, New Brunswick, the son of Ulric and Mamry (Ruest) Lefrancois. Gerard was employed by area farmers and in construction until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council at Notre Dames de Lourdes, New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Nelka (Desjardins) Lefrancois of Van Buren; two sons, Bernard Lefrancois and his wife, Maurica, of Olamon and Gerald Lefrancois and his girlfriend, Millie Gervais, of Van Buren; three sisters, Cecile Tardif of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Wilda Dionne of Connecticut and Bernadette Bellefleur and her husband, Gaetan, of Montreal; two brothers, Roger and Reo Lefrancois, both of Notre Dames de Lourdes, New Brunswick; six grandchildren, Susan, Salena, Dawn, Brandon, Steph-anie and Adam Lefrancois; many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be at Grande Rivi?re Cemetery.
