HOULTON – Gertrude A. Nason, 92, died Jan. 29, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Portland. Gertrude was a member of Linneus Free Will Baptist Church, and will always be remembered by friends and patrons as working at F.W. Woolworth. She also worked at Houlton Tea Room. She is survived by two sons, Paul Nason of Houlton, and James Nason and his wife, Pat, of New Durham, N.H.; five grandchildren, LeeAnn Kinens and her husband, Rob, of Houlton, Joel and his wife, Hope Nason, of Laconia, N.H., Jeff Nason of Middleton, Mass., Jon and his wife, Janelle Nason, of Plymouth, Mass., Jeremy and his wife, Ruth Nason, of Trinity, Ala.; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James McBride of Woodstock, New Brunswick, and Philip McBride of Toronto, Onterio; one sister, Ruth McDonald of Woodstock, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Louise (McBride) Findley and her husband, Arthur; brother, Arthur McBride; and daughter-in-law, Connie Nason. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Linneus Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pittman officiating.
