BANGOR – Gertrude “Trudy” Moore Gaudette passed away unexpectedly Feb. 26, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Grand Falls, Plt., the daughter of the late Roscoe A. Sr. and Yensie M. Harriman Moore. She married Walter Gaudette in 1947. She was a bookkeeper in the Bangor area for many years, retiring in 1995 from the law firm of Gross, Minsky, Mogul & Singal. She was an active member and past noble grand and treasurer for many years of Norombega Rebekah Lodge No. 135, past district deputy president of RA of Maine. Associate member of Golden Links Rebekah lodge in Bradford, past Great Ashayhi of Aida Zuanna and of the L.O.T.O. of New England. Member of Zaza Zuanna in Portland. Charter and life member of L.A.M.O.P.H. Joshua Chamberlain Unit No. 1865 and of the Grand Falls Historical Society. She was a volunteer at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. She is survived by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law. Paul E. and Billie J. of Tenants Harbor, Douglas J and Nellie I. of Hampden; six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Kelley A. of Eugene, Ore., Carrie A. and her husband, Ben Jalbert, and Katie M., all of Hampden. Kara L. and her husband, Brian Hartery, of Clifton. Jessica J. of Portland; and one grandson, Gabriel Paul of Tenants Harbor; two great-grandsons, Evan Gaudette and Tanis Hartery; three brothers, Irvin P. of Carmel, Atwood H. of Lincoln, and Lawrence H. of Orono and two sister-in-laws, Marguerite Moore of Carmel and Joyce Moore of Lincoln and one brother-in-law, Frit Whitten of Lincoln, 15 nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. Many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by four sisters, Lila Whitten, Annie Emery, Lucille Rich and Grace Moore. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Grace M. Bartlett, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
