LIMESTONE – Gilbert Louis Cote, 62, husband of Marilyne S. Cote, died unexpectedly Nov. 13, 2003, at his Limestone residence. He was born June 27, 1941, at Caribou, the son of the late Leo L. and Almeda (Powers) Cote. He previously resided in Bristol, Conn., for the past 38 years, at retirement he anxiously returned to his birthplace. He was a graduate of Limestone High School and served with the U.S. Army. He was employed as a postal carrier in Bristol, Conn., for 35 years. He was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 5 in Bristol for 35 years. Surviving in addition to his wife, Marilyne (Saucier) Cote of Limestone, are one son, Ryan Cote of Taos, N.M.; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Richard Landrette of Plantsville, Conn.; five brothers, Roy Cote of Puyallup, Wash., Dana Cote of Columbia, S.C., Thomas Cote of Bernardston, Mass., Roger Cote of McKean, Pa. and Allen Cote of South Gardiner; seven sisters, Marilla Wilson of Lakebay, Wash., Tine Holt of Maple Valley, Wash., Ann Anthony of Edinboro, Paris, Janet Cote of Buckley, Wash., Connie Cote of Sonoma, Calif., Brenda Cochran of Alexandria, Ind. and Edwina Morrell of Homestead, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kristina Landrette, Timothy Landrette and Daren Cote. He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Interment will take place in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. Arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
