NORTH DEXTER – Gladys G. Starbird, 94, died Jan. 18, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of Gerald and Mabel (Judkins) Gerry. She was a member of the North Dexter Grange and worked as a retail clerk for the Ben Franklin store and the United store, Dexter. Gladys was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Constance Gerry of Dover-Foxcroft; three sisters-in-law, Edna Gerry of Bingham, Dolores Starbird of Sangerville and Dora Starbird of North Dexter; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Eugene Starbird Jr. in 1992; three brothers, George Gerry, Orman Gerry and Emery Gerry; and a sister, Emma Farrar. At her request there will be no visitation.
