HERMON – Gladys (Pearson) Magnuson, 95, wife of the late Chester V. Magnuson, died March 24, 2007, at the Penobscot Nursing home where she had resided for the past two years. She was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Candia, N.H., the daughter of August C. and Selma (Larson) Pearson. Gladys was formerly of Manchester, N.H., but had resided in Hermon since 1960. She was formerly a member and past matron of the Adah Chapter No. 9, OES of Candia, N.H. She was a member of the Glenburn Covenant Church. Gladys will be missed by many good friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Pearson; and several cousins. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, with the Rev. Gregory DuBois, pastor of the Glenburn Covenant Church, officiating. Friends are invited to meet 12:45 p.m. Friday at the Superintendents Lodge of the cemetery, State Street entrance.
