ST. JOHN and NEW MILFORD, Conn. – Glenn M. O’Leary, 80, went to be with the Lord Dec. 26, 2005, at his daughters home in Connecticut, with his wife at his side. He was born May 21, 1925, the son of John and Isabelle (Jackson) O’Leary. Glen served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the local V.F.W. and a member and deacon of the St. John Bible Church. He worked many years as a local farmer, until he worked for Great Northern Paper Co., Pinkham Lumber, and Woodlands Improvement/Irving Company, as a heavy machinery mechanic and maintenance/millwright. He was a hard worker, loving husband and father and very much loved by everyone who knew him and will be terrible missed. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 55 years, Annie (Kelly) O’Leary; seven children whom he loved dearly, George O’Leary and friend, John, of Florida, Glenda (O’Leary) Jackson and husband, Sonny, Jeffrey O’Leary and wife, Donna, Brian O’Leary and friend, Lisa, Wade O’Leary and wife, Jenny, all of Connecticut, Rachel (O’Leary) Bouchard and husband, Mark and Patty (O’Leary) DeBonis and husband, Billy, all of New York; 13 grandchildren, Deanna, Annika, Bobby, Misty, Amber, Jesse, Kassey, Chelsy, Jacob, Kevin, Taylor, Jenna and Austin; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers whom he also loved dearly, Patty (O’Leary) McBreairty and husband, Ward, Maggie (O’Leary) McBreairty, all of Connecticut, Maryanne (O’Leary) Jackson and husband, Roy, of Maine, Joseph O’Leary and Jimmy O’Leary and wife, Marilyn, all of New York. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Ella (O’Leary) Cambell; and a brother, David O’Leary. Viewing hours will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday and noon-2 p.m. Friday, at the St. John Bible Church in St. John. Funeral Services will begin 2 p.m., with Pastor Mark Ruggerio, officiating. Services are being handled by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
