HUDSON – Glennis M. Sanborn, 69, passed away peacefully Feb. 12, 2004, at her residence. She was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Veazie, the daughter of Frank and Maud H. Braley. Glennis spent most of her life in the care giver business. Later in her life she received her license as a practical nurse from Bangor Mental Health Institute. She retired from Bangor Convalescent Center, where she was the 11-7 charge nurse for many years. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Karl R. Sanborn Sr.; three brothers, Nelson, Glendon and Gorham Spencer; five sisters, Evelyn Spencer, Muriel Kool, Betty A. Green, Rosalie M Green, and Mary Lou Oakes. She is survived by two daughters, Vanessa M. and her husband, Donald A. Poole, of Kenduskeag, Karla M. Sanborn and her fianc‚, Michael R. Lavertu, of Orrington; one son, Karl R Sanborn Jr. and his wife, Malinda L., of Hudson; six grandchildren, Donald A. Poole Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Kenduskeag, Deanna M. and her husband, Brian Thayer, of Glenburn, Annissa M. Sanborn and Quinton T. Allan Jr., both of Orrington, Karl H. Sanborn and Tiffany L. Sanborn, both of Hudson; six great-grandchildren, Katrina, Brandon, Alyssa, Benjamin, Samantha, and Shelby; one sister, Virginia Burns-Edwards of Bangor; several nieces and nephews; one very dear friend for many years, Patricia Hatch of Verona Island.
