SANGERVILLE – Gloria A. Knowlton, 68, died March 9, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born June 4, 1937, in Guilford, a daughter of Stanley and Evelyn (Ballard) Patterson. She was a graduate of Guilford High School and retired in 2000 from Guilford Industries. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Colby Knowlton of Sangerville; three children, Kathy Tereskerz of Charleston, S.C., Ray and wife, Lorena Knowlton, of Monson, Timothy and wife, Shelley Knowlton, of Abbot; five grandchildren, Danny Davis of Greenville, S.C., Holly and Katie Knowlton of Monson, Airman 1st Class J.C. Knowlton of Wichita Falls, Texas and Amy Knowlton of Abbot; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Tuttle. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Elaine, Belinda and Mia. There will be no services at this time. A spring graveside committal will be held at Blanchard Cemetery.
