BANGOR – Golda Arolyn Libby, 82, died Sept. 7, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Bangor, the daughter of Veda D. and Katie F. (Dysart) Robinson. Golda was instrumental in the operation of the family business. Her family was her life and she will be sadly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond Libby; two sons, Reg Libby and wife, Chris, of Bangor, Dan Libby and wife, Joanne, of Holden; a brother, Alfred Robinson of Dover-Foxcroft; four grandchildren, Kassandra Brewer and husband, Adam, of Bangor, Kyle Libby and friends, Dianne Lackie, of Bangor, David Libby of Bangor, Michael Libby of Portland; four great-grandchildren, Sarah, Addison, Evan and Katelynn. Golda was predeceased by a brother, William Robinson and two sisters, Mildred Robinson and Elva Oxley. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, Chaplain of Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. Gifts in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
