BANGOR – Grace Evelyn (Warren) Rogers, 76, beloved wife of the late Frank S. Rogers, died peacefully at her home Nov. 4, 2005, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Levant, the daughter of Harrison and Fanny (Garland) Warren. Grace was a 1948 graduate of Hermon High School and a member of the girls basketball team. After graduation she was employed in the circulation department of the Bangor Daily News leaving only to raise a beautiful family, then returned and retired in 1991. She loved spending time with her family and her dog, Betsy. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and watching her birds in her backyard. Surviving are five children, Garth A. Rogers and his wife, Debbie, of Bangor, Kevin D. Rogers and his wife, Diane, of Bucksport, Greg F. Rogers and his wife, Sandy, of Bangor, Lisa G. Hickson and her husband, Bob, of Stockton Springs, Leigh M. Faulkner and her husband, Kip, of Carmel; three grandchildren, Kevin D. Rogers Jr., Jesse A. Rogers and Shayne G. Rogers; one great-granddaughter, Abigail; a sister, Louise Berlucci, of Dixmont; one brother, Roger Warren and his wife, Claire, of Enfield; nieces and nephews. Grace had many fond memories of her special neighbors, Charlie and Dixie-Lea Thayer and Bunny Ayer and she also loved her friends at Respiratory Rehab, St. Joseph Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Tozier. Friends are welcome to call 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the family home, 35 Silver Rd., Bangor, following the funeral Mass on Monday.
