GOULDSBORO – Guy L. Haycock, 84, died June 2, 2008, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility, Milbridge, after a long illness. He was born May 20, 1924, in Gouldsboro, the son of Harry and Vida (Moore) Haycock. Guy served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by Bridge Construction Co., for 38 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, surveying and working on his blueberry fields. He is survived by three sons, Robert and wife, Bonnie, of Milbridge, Vaughn and wife, Eva, of Milbridge and Ladd of Gouldsboro; a stepdaughter, Karen Lanoue and husband, Neil, of Florida; seven grandchildren, Jenny, Alfred, Curtis, Barbara, Christopher, Patricia and Brian; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Coombs of Winter Harbor and Fae Carter and husband, Herb, of Sullivan; also nephews, cousins and many friends. Guy was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; and son, Tim. At Guy’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be at Bayview Cemetery, Gouldsboro.
