PRESQUE ISLE – H. Delbert Lowe, 76, died Nov. 27, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 1, 1927, in St Francis, the son of Major and Mary (Bushey) Lowe. He had been employed by Bridge Construction Co. for more than 22 years. Del enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving him are six sons, Jeffrey Lowe and his wife, Rose, David Lowe, Michael Lowe and his wife, Lynn, Carroll Lowe and his wife, Jen, Harry Lowe and his wife, Dee, and Scott Lowe and his wife, Rasha, all of Presque Isle; two daughters, Mavis (Lowe) Walton and her husband, Brian, of Westfield, and Vicki (Lowe) Philbrook and her husband, Mark, of LaGrange; nine grandchildren, Christopher Lowe, Josh and Nick Walton, Jamey Lowe, Jeremiah Lowe, Khyver, Keeghan and Khasen Lowe and Raeshelle Lowe; step grandchildren, Hiedi Knowles, Joe Caron, Vanessa and Veronica Michaud and Zachary Gilbert; step-great-grandson, William Knowles; a sister, Ethel Crandall of Caribou; sisters-in-law, Pat Doyle and her husband, Joe, of Mapleton, Daph Conley and her husband, Ralph, of Bangor, and Gladys Lowe of Mapleton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Claris L. (Theriault) Lowe; a son, Philip Lowe; sisters, Florence Barnes and Rena Gagnon; a step-brother, William Lowe; his mother-in-law, Mavis Brayson; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Theriault. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle.
