MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. and GREAT LAKE – John E. Max-son, 83, of Morehead City, N.C., and Great Lake died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay, Sea Level, N.C. Survivors include wife, Barbara C. Maxson; sons, John C. Maxson of Plano, Texas, Peter B. Maxson of Northford, Conn.; daughters, Stephanie M. Kenyon of Vienna, Va., Whitney A. Maxson of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother, Paul B. Maxson of Morehead City, N.C.; cousin, Joseph J. O’Neill of Dublin, Pa.; grandchildren, Madeline M. Maxson, John G. Maxson, Jack Scott Kenyon III and Michael Kenyon; step-grandchild, Angela Jordan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gregory Spencer, priest of St. Egbert’s Catholic Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Morehead City, North Carolina.
