BRADFORD – Harold E. McClure, 55, died Oct. 16, 2004, at his home in Bradford. He was born Nov. 12, 1948, in Old Town, the son of Roland E. and Irma J. (Adams) McClure. Harold was a devoted husband, father, and papa, who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed going to camp, family gatherings, and the outdoors. He touched the hearts of many people and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Savilla (Goodwin) McClure of Bradford; two sons, Harold McClure Jr. of Hudson and Jeffery of Bradford; four daughters, Shirley McClure of Old Town, Angela McClure of Veazie, Bette McClure of Brewer and Susan McClure of Bradford; five grandchildren, Shawn, Nick, Kody, Kamron, and Brendon; four brothers, William McClure of Brewer, Richard McClure of Bradford, Larry McClure of Houlton, and Roland McClure Jr. of Clifton; five sisters, Betty Simpson and Willa Poston both of Virginia, Carole Perkins of Hampden, Wendy Hall of West Old Town, and Tammy Cunningham of Corinth; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Gerald McClure. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Bradford following the services.
