SUN CITY, Ariz. – Harold Warren Schisler, 84, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Abingdon, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Boswell Hospital, Sun City, Ariz. He was born Sept. 26, 1919, near Abingdon, Knox County, Ill., the son of John and Minnie (Dawdy) Schisler. He married Maxine Stearns on June 29, 1940, in Chicago, Ill. He attended Abingdon High School and was a machinist at Outboard Marine Corp. in Galesburg, Ill., for 28 years, before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Sun City, Ariz. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, H. Edmund and his wife, Lynn, of Columbus, Ind., Ronald W. and his wife, Rosemary, of Santee, Calif.; one daughter, Darlene Henderson and her husband, Carl, of Glenburn; eight grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Irene Morris and her husband, Bob, of Berwick, Ill. He was predeceased by his parents; one sister; and two brothers. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon, Ill. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Tuesday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
