MANCHESTER, Conn. – Harvey Elliott Daggett, 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at home surrounded by his loving family. Harvey was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Medford, the son of the late Albert and Evelyn Daggett. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Before retiring in 1989, he was a tool and die machinist for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Claire (Smith) Daggett and their children, Robert Daggett of Ellsworth and April Willhide and her husband, Richard, of Manchester, Conn.; his other children, Harvey Edwin Daggett of Ashford, Conn., Keith Daggett of Alton, Sheila Morrison of Ellsworth; his stepchildren, Stephen Peters of Hawaii, Hilda Wylie of Bristol, Conn., Luanne Peters of Bar Harbor; his sister, Carolyn Whaley of East Hartford, Conn.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sharon Daggett; stepson, Ronald Peters; five brothers, Paul, David, Keith, Norman, Edwin; and sister, Marilyn. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at South United Methodist Church, 1226 Main St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 940 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
