WASHBURN – Harvey M. Springer Jr., 76, died Saturday Jan. 14, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Sept. 9, 1929, at Bridgewater, Mass. the son of Harvey and Eunice Springer. He loved to hunt and fish in his younger days and enjoyed picking fiddleheads. Harvey and his wife Anna (Drost) had 21 years of marriage together. He is survived by his wife, Anna Springer of Washburn; four sons, Harvey III of Sullivan, Robert of Charlottesville, Va., Steven of Ellsworth and Morris of Palm Bay, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon Cantor of Fort Myers, Fla. and Constance Mitchell of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepsons, Michael McNeil of Sullivan and Calvin O’Clair of Washburn; stepdaughters, Patty Welch of Epping, N.H., Kathy McNeil of Minneapolis, Minn., Debbie Corey of Washburn, Nancy Legassie of Ashland and Penny Scott of Washburn; eight stepgrandchildren and eight great-stepgrandchildren; a brother, David Springer of Missouri; and a sister, Betty of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria. There will no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Crouseville. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
