PERHAM and STETSON – Priscilla Rose Hartsgrove, 75, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jan. 15, 2006, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Danny and Brenda Hartsgrove in Stetson, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 6, 1930, at Oakfield, a daughter of Cecil and Clara (Grondin) Richards. Priscilla attended the West Boise and Norcross schools and graduated from Schenck High School in East Millinocket. She worked at several potato processing factories for many years. She loved being with her family and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed listening to the family sing-alongs. She loved traveling and camping with her sisters Dolly and Evelyn. She enjoyed attending the Carson Pentecostal Church, singing and praising the Lord. She had also been a member of the North Star Pentecostal Church in Perham. Priscilla is survived by six sons, David and wife, Marie, of Springvale, Danny and wife, Brenda, and Douglas, all of Stetson, Dean and Darrell of Perham, and Darrin of Nevada; three daughters, Donna and husband, George Markie, of Mattawamkeag, Dayle and husband, Michael Espling, of Caribou, and Doris Simmons of Springvale; two stepsons, Philip, Joe and his wife, Martha Marcum, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; three brothers, Don Richards of N.H., Austin “Spike” Richards and John Richards, both of Mattawamkeag; three sisters, Doris Coon and Dale Naaykens, both of Medway, Evelyn “Tootie” Markie of Mattawamkeag; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip, and her daughter, Debra Hartsgrove; a brother, Harold Richards; and a sister, Jeanette Erickson. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson Pentecostal Church, with the Revs. John Palmer and Eldon Wilcox officiating. Friends may call at the church 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Spring burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Perham. The family would like to thank Brenda’s son Randy, Cary Medical Center, Caribou Nursing Home and Eastern Maine Hospice for the attentive care given to Priscilla. I caressed your face this morning and gave you a kiss on the cheek, and then I knew the angels were here waiting to take you home. You opened your eyes to say good-bye, and I knew Heaven was waiting. And tho, with us no more, you are at Jesus’ side, serenaded by angels. Arrangements are by Mocker Funeral Home, Caribou, and Crosby & Neal, Newport.
