ST. FRANCIS – Hazel Annie (Morrison) Tilley, 88, died Oct. 10, 2006, surrounded by her family at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born July 6, 1918, in St. Francis, the daughter of Gilbert and Sadie (McPherson) Morrison. Hazel loved to cook, knit and travel. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, James M. Tilley and his wife, Linda, of Caribou and Wayne G. Tilley and his wife, Suzzane, of Las Vegas, five sisters, Cora Johnson of Portland, Louella Palm of Caribou, Vesta Moir of New Sweden, Phyllis McBreairty and Patricia Kelly, both of Allagash; one brother, Merton Morrison and his wife, Pheobe, of St. Francis; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Morrison of Ravenna, Ohio; four grandchildren, Chris Tilley, Kathryn Avalos, Connie Theriault and Nicole Tarbox; six great-grand-children, Brittney Shields, Nelsen Theriault, Laiken Tarbox, Hannah Tarbox, Jordan Avalos and Megan Avalos; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wendall Tilley in 1996; one sister, Nellie Barnard; and one brother, Cyrus Morrison. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday until time of departure for St. Francis, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, St. Francis. Committal services will be held immediately after at St. Paul’s Congregational Cemetery.
