PLANTATION, Fla. – Hazel Stanley, 92, went home to be with her Lord Feb. 26, 2004, with all her family at her side after a brief illness. She was born May 13, 1911, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She moved to Harrington in 1919. She graduated from Harrington High School and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., in 1951. She was a devout Christian Scientist and a very loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Hazel is survived by her five children, Roland Stanley, Peter Stanley, Connie White, Carleen Morgan and Corinne Stokes; sister-in-law, Theolyn G. Nash of Dennysville; nephew, Dr. Edward (Carol) Carter; and great-nephew, John Carter of Medfield, Mass.; 36 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Kent Stanley. We as a family greatly appreciate the love and care of all Hospice personnel. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 7601 SW 39 St., Davie, Fla.
