JONESBORO – Hazel Reynolds passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 1, 2004, in Machias. Hazel was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Donald and Eleanor (Davis) Davis. She graduated from Jones-boro High School in 1953. She will be remembered as a loving and gentle wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Hazel is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Alton Reynolds; a daughter, Sheila and her husband, John Mallar, of Machias; two sons, Danny Reynolds and his wife, Ellen, of Jonesboro and Michael Reynolds and his fianc_e, Jeannette Spencer, of Machias; four grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds and her fianc_, Gary Smith, Tracey Mallar, Benjamin Reynolds and Nancy Mallar; a brother, Robert Davis and his wife, Patricia, of Conventry, Conn.; a sister, Joyce and her husband, Vinal Reynolds, of Whitneyville; an aunt, Ruth Wood and her husband, Percy, of Whiting; a special cousin, Alice Hennessey of Whit-neyville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Hazel was predeceased by her parents; a son, Mitchell Reynolds; a brother, Donald Davis Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Reynolds. A memorial service and celebration of Hazel’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Direct Cremation of Maine. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the local chapter of the American Heart Association.
