LIMESTONE – Lazare J. Beaulieu, 94, beloved husband of Lucy (Johndro) Beaulieu died peacefully Jan. 17, 2004, at his Limestone residence with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 13, 1909, at Hamlin, the son of Florent J. and Mary M. (Belanger) Beaulieu. He was a lifetime Limestone resident. He farmed on the Morris Road for more than 40 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, where he was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2851 of Limestone for more than 63 years. Lazare was an avid woodsman, hunting and fishing whenever his busy schedule would allow. He is survived by his wife of 66 years of Limestone; four sons, Peter Beaulieu and his wife, Jeri, Paul Beaulieu and his wife, Doreen, Florent Beaulieu and his special friend, Carolyn Withem, Raymond Beaulieu and his wife, Marilyn, all of Limestone; four daughters, Beatrice Rines and her husband, Floyd, of Alexandria, Va., Francis Puzzo and her husband, Concetto, of Rocky Hills, Conn., Velma Labbe and her husband, O’Neal, of Limestone, Patricia Beaulieu and her fiance, James Gordan, of Yarmouth; one brother, Ludger Beaulieu-Limestone; one sister, Katherine Flisk’s of Lake Placid, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A vigil at the casket will be performed by the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2851 of Limestone during this time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone with Fr. Jean Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. Following the Mass all are invited to attend a time of fellowship and refreshment downstairs in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lazare’s memory may be made to the St. Louis Catholic Church Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be made available at both the church and the funeral home.
