EDDINGTON – Heike Goodin, 39, died unexpectedly July 15, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at a Boston hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1968, in Ludwigsburg, Germany, the daughter of Siegfried and Reinhilde Armborst. Heike was employed by Pine Tree Auto Salvage Auction for the last five years. She loved traveling, especially enjoying Maine lighthouses and had her own photo studio in her home, where her photos came to life through her creativity. Heike enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and holidays, especially Christmas. She also enjoyed watching the comedy “Friends” and had a wonderful sense of humor. Heike was the most dedicated, trusting and unselfish person that you could ever meet. She is survived by her parents of Germany; her loving husband, Peter Goodin of Eddington; two stepchildren, Cortney Goodin of Bangor, and Peter Goodin II of Bradley; two brothers, Jorg Armborst and his wife, Carola, and their son, Marco, and Michael Armborst and his wife, Elke, and their son, Kjell, all of Germany; and her loving cat, Fruit Loop. She was also very much loved by her brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, July 29. It is a German tradition to wear black attire to the funeral service. The family asks that you honor their request.
