ELLSWORTH – Helen Mae Butler, 79, died April 9, 2006, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Tremont, the daughter of Carl and Daisy (Stockbridge) Lawson. She is survived by two daughters, Cookie Foss and her husband, Jon, Brenda Keep and her husband, David, all of Ellsworth; one brother, Benjamin Lawson of Pennsylvania; one sister, Isabelle Forand of Acushnet, Mass.; four grandchildren, Angela Carney of Ellsworth, Lisa Richardson and her husband, Eben, of Bar Harbor, Michael Keep of Portland, Matthew Keep and his wife, Christy, of Louden, N.H.; six great-grandchildren, Nikole and Christopher Carney, Meaghan, Malorie, and Mckenzie Young, Madilyn Keep; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Cindy Coombs. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Hollis B. Butler. A graveside remembrance service will be held for the family at a later date. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
