EASTPORT – Helen Mae Ross, 76, passed away peacefully, Aug 11, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Eastport, and lived here nearly all her life. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Ann Cummings; and her two brothers, Bill Conley and Don Cummings. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Albert Ross; and her children and their spouses, Wayne and Janet Patton of Bass Harbor, Andrea and David Kendall of Perry, Rodney and Maryann Patton of Suffolk,Va. and Alberta Matthews and Jaime Tinker of Eastport. She will be missed by her grandchilden, Terri and Wayne Gross, Dwayne and Jen Patton, Christine Smiley and Jim Abegglen, Traci Patton and Dave Kelly, Nicole and Stephen Henderson, Cristoforo and Kelli Patton, Dave Kendall, Carrin and Clayton Pitcher, Tara and Bobby Bowen, Heather Patton, Dina Patton, Sonya and Cory Sullivan and Ben Patton. Also by her great-grandchildren, Evan, Cooper, Robert, Cynthia, Dillon, Elizabeth, Sierra, Jacob, Christopher, Colby, Hallie Rae, Gavin and Ciara; her sister-in-law, Helen Conley; many special nieces and nephews; and her “Spare” granddaughters, Natalie Brown and Rachel Theriault. The “Great Pumpkin” will be missed by all who were included in her Pumpkin Patch. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at Hillside East Cemetery, with Pastor Cody Stow officiating.
