WATERVILLE and BANGOR – Helen Patricia O’Brien died May 29, 2005, at a Waterville healthcare facility. She was born March 20, 1927, in Bangor, the daughter of Jack and Josephine (Lebel) O’Brien. Helen attended St. John Grammar School and John Bapst High School. Over her life, she enjoyed music, gardening and drawing pencil sketches. She is survived by two brothers, Joseph D. O’Brien of Bangor, and John T. O’Brien of Melbourne, Fla.; one sister, Mary Gertrude (O’Brien) Marchant of Long Beach, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home in Waterville where she had resided for the last six years. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in a family lot at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. At the family’s request there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are in the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home, Bangor.
