MACWAHOC – Hester W. (Jacobs) Pratt, 68, died suddenly July 18, 2005, after many years of struggling with diabetes and heart disease. She was born June 26, 1937, in Kingman, the daughter of Lynn and Anna (Boyington) Jacobs. She was a resident of Macwahoc for 45 years before moving to Worcester, Mass., in 1997 to be with her son due to her ill health. Hester loved her flowers, her friends and family. She loved her home in Macwahoc and had just moved back there June 30th. She enjoyed her brief return to her home. She especially loved her and Steve’s dog, Cirano “Nario”. She is survived by her loving son, Steve Pratt of Macwahoc (formerly of Worcester, Mass.); four sisters, Charlotte Petrin, Virginia Bilodeau and Ruth Morroco of New Britain, Conn. and Louise McCann of Zelenople, Pa. She is also survived by special family and friends, Henry and Maxine Hunter of Macwahoc, Donald, Brenda and DJ Pratt of Macwahoc, Michael, Charlene and Thomas “TJ” O’Brien of Paxton, Mass., and her dearest friend, Mary St. Hillaire of Cherry Valley, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband, Basil Pratt; her daughter, Kathy Jean Pratt; six brothers and two sisters, Ralph, Clifford, Richard, Burton, Nolan and Millage Jacobs and Olive (Jacobs) Powers and Dorothy (Jacobs) Coro. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at the Macwahoc Cemetery, with the Rev. Carolyn Metzler officiating.
