MARS HILL- Hope E. Lunn, 88, died Oct. 8, 2005, at her daughter’s residence in Old Town. She was born July 25, 1917, in Westfield, the daughter of Aca and Doris (Perkins) Kinney. Hope enjoyed playing beano, loved to cook, made left handed rolls, can vegetables, enjoyed working in her garden and in her flowers. She was known to be “grammie down in the woods”. She is survived by a son, Dale Miller and his wife, Janice, of Mars Hill; two daughters, Doris Jackson and her husband, Wayne, of Old Town, Carolyn Stickney of Winthrop; a stepson, Wayne Lunn and his wife, Patti, of Mars Hill; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irva Buchanan of Portage, Mich., Rowena Porter of Blaine; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Kinney and Madeline Kinney, both of Blaine. She will be remembered by two special friends, Carolyn Malone and Sarah Burnham, both of Mars Hill. She was predeceased by two husbands, Paul Miller and Clinton “Jimmy” Lunn; a grandson, Allen H. Fletcher; a brother, Malcolm Kinney; a sister, Amy Marchant. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at Duncan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with the Rev. Richard Bell officiating. Interment will be in Kings Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill.
