PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Howard B. Everett, of Seventh Street, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, R.I. Born Aug. 10, 1925, in Presque Isle, he was the son of the late T. Earl and Lila (Mooers) Everett. He was the husband of Sylvia (Zaplitny) Everett, whom he married April 18, 1960. They lived in Providence, R.I., for nearly 50 years. Mr. Everett worked as a bank examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank, Boston, for 25 years, until his retirement in 1987. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two brothers, Eugene Everett of Maryland and Ronald Everett of Virginia; and his sister, Marjorie Bishop of Presque Isle. Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, R.I., with services 10:30 a.m. and burial at Union Cemetery, Smithfield Road, North Smithfield, R.I.
