HOWLAND – Ida Grant, 94, died Feb. 4, 2005, at a Howland healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 3, 1910, in Mount Chase, the daughter of George and Evelyn (Lord) Seams. Ida loved to make crafts and also loved to crochet. She loved to read and play beano. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Pelkey of Winn and Shirley Worcestor of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Josefine Miller; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, a stepgrandson, Floyd Grant, a special nephew, Robert Chamberlain and his wife, Irene; a special cousin, Brenda Washburn; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three husbands, Fred Grant, Donald Martin and Henry Miller Sr.; a son, Henry Miller Jr.; and a grandson, Dolan Miller. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Mattawamkeag Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to the Activity Fund at Cummings Healthcare Facility.
