BUCKSPORT – Imogene Harriet (Shirley) McAllian, 86, died Feb. 26, 2006, at a Brewer nursing facility. She was born June 17, 1919, in West Enfield, daughter of Thomas H. and Rhoda M. (Ewing) Shirley. Imogene worked for many years at Bucksport schools, loved animals, enjoyed playing bridge, BEANO and going to casinos. She is survived by seven children, Richard Ames and his wife, Pamela, of Bucksport, Frederick Ames and his wife, Jerilou, of Bucksport, Maxine Shepard and her husband, Tom, of Pennsylvania, Celeste Ames of Massachusetts, Lorna Jean Goodwin and her husband, Geoff, of Carmel, Kelley Harriman and her husband, Jeff, of Bucksport, Daniel McAllian and his wife, Marjorie, of Bucksport; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Winters; several nieces and nephews. Several siblings predeceased her. Graveside services will be announced in the spring by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
