CLIFTON – Ingerson Floyd Getchell, 57, died Jan. 24, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 26, 1949, in Steuben, the son of Owen and Beulah (Lancaster) Getchell. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marlene (Chase) Getchell of Clifton; a son, “Punkin” Getchell of Clifton, Nikki Lee Goodwin and her husband, Shaun, of Eddington; two grandchildren, Ashlee and Damien Goodwin, all of Eddington; and extended family, Jo-Alice Collins; and granddaughter, Racheal of Greenbush; 10 brothers and sisters, Joanne and her husband, Gerry Chase, Carolyn Nealy, Betsina and her husband, Jim Parson, Richard Getchell and his wife, Marian, Nancy and her husband, “Butch” Free, Dianna and her husband, Jim Murphy, Donna Getchell, Wayne Getchell and his wife, Rena, Donald Getchell and his wife, Vicki, and Clinton Getchell and his wife, Valerie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Owen Getchell Jr. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Roger Tracey, pastor of the East Eddington Community Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the services Monday at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, Reception Rooms. Spring interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Clifton. Due to the family’s flower allergies the family wishes are that gifts in Ingerson’s memory be sent to Children’s Miracle Network, care of Eastern Maine Charities, P.O. Box 404, Bangor, ME 04402-0404.
