WESTFIELD, Mass. – Irene B. (Bosse) Gonyer, 95, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born June 15, 1909, in Old Town, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Valancourt) Gonyer. She has been a resident of Westfield, for the past 12 years. Prior to that she lived in Wallingford, Conn. and Orono. She was employed as a buyer for American Cyanamid Co. of Wallingford, Conn. for 25 years, retiring in 1974. Irene was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was wife of the late, Fred A. Gonyer who died in 1965. She was predeceased by a son, Frederick J. Gonyer. She leaves three grandchildren, Julie Gornall of Westfield, Joseph Gonyer of Monson, and Jeffery Gonyer of Southwick; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, Mass., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Orono at a later date.
