EAST MILLINOCKET – Irene B. Thibodeau, 86, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004, at a local hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 30, 1917, the daughter of Dumas and Isabelle (Charette) Bernier. Irene was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She was a great cook and was well known for her pea soup. A communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, she loved to pray the rosary several times a day. Irene is survived by her two daughters, Jackie and her husband, Darrell Duprey, of East Millinocket and Rena and her husband, Al Dziengiel, of Plainfield, Conn.; one sister, Juliette Duprey of East Millinocket; one brother, Hubert “Gil” Voisine and his wife, Theresa, of Millinocket; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Thibodeau Sr.; two sons, Patrick Thibodeau and James Thibodeau Jr. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 12, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket where St. Anne’s Circle Daughters of Isabella will recite the Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
