EAGLE LAKE – Irene (Dumais) Martin, 80, died peacefully Jan. 10, 2008, at Eagle Lake. She was born Aug. 7, 1927, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Henry and Lilly (Hayward) Dumais. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club and Ladies of St. Anne, both of Eagle Lake, AARP and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Irene enjoyed the time she had with her family, especially her grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards while socializing with her friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Sister Carol Martin of Whitefield and Catherine Martin of Atlanta; two sons, Joey Martin and his wife, Violet, of Coral Springs, Fla., and Cyr Martin Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Eagle Lake; two sisters, Yvonne Labbe and Cecile Devoe, both of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren, two great-grand-children; special godson, Rick Martin and his wife, Trang, of Portland; a brother-in-law, Fred Martin and his wife, Darlene, of Caribou; sister-in-law, Connie Adams of East Millinocket; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. until the time of departure for Eagle Lake Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Spring burial will be at the parish cemetery.
