GUERETTE – Irene M. Guerette, 95, of Guerette died at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Frenchville, Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003. She was born Feb. 29, 1908, in Guerette, the daughter of Frank and Elise (Hebert) Guerette. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s and St. Euthrope Church. Irene cared for her parents until their death and kept busy writing her family’s genealogy, which dated back to France in the early 1600s. She enjoyed reading, writing, knitting and surrounding herself with family and friends. She is survived by loving nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews, especially great-great-grand nephew, Sean. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Elise Guerette; brothers, Mack, Arthur, Patrick and Alex; and sisters, Estelle, Regina, Gertrude, Annie and Rosalie. There will be a Mass of Celebration at a later date, which will be announced in the St. John Valley Times. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her memory to the St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Frenchville and Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. Envelopes will be available at St. Joseph’s Church in Sinclair at the time of her Mass celebration. Rev. Claude Gendreau will be officiating. Burial will be followed at the Holy Family Cemetery in Daigle. Arrangements are being conducted by the Michaud Funeral Home n St. Agatha.
