ABBOT – Irene M. Patterson, 55, died June 27, 2004, at her home in Abbot surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 7, 1949, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of Melvin and Mary (Clark) Wentworth. She worked at Guilford Industries in Guilford for 26 years, and attended Abbot Evangelical Free Church in Abbot. She is survived by her husband, Everett L. Patterson; and a son and his wife, Scott and Cindy Patterson, all of Abbot; a daughter, Julie Patterson of Guilford; a brother, Clyde Wentworth of Industry; a sister and her husband, Barbara and Dwight Easler of Abbot; and three grandchildren who meant the world to her, Trent and Travis Patterson and Brody Tarsook; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Neil Wentworth. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004, at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Burial will be in the Abbot Village Cemetery.
