PRESQUE ISLE – Olive G. Clark, 87, wife of the late Howard H. Clark, died June 26, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Masardis, the daughter of George and Stella (Hawkes) Carney. She was a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church in Presque Isle. Olive was a supervisor at Vahlsing’s in Easton for many years. In addition to her husband, whom she married June 25, 1938, she was predeceased by a grandson, Travis Clark; sisters, Phyllis Demerchant and Clara Hull; and brothers, Henry and George Carney. Surviving her are her son, LaVerne W. Clark of Waterbury, Conn.; grandchildren, Darren W. Clark and Heather B. Clark, both of Bristol, Conn., great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kaitlyn, Courtney and Nathan; two sisters, Charlotte Grass of Oxbow and Beatrice Verner of Burlington, Vt.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Estes Park Cemetery in Easton.
