CORINNA – Irene Ruth Bolstridge, 74, died peacefully after a long illness Feb. 27, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Feb. 19, 1930, at Guilford, a daughter of William and Eleanor (Wilson) Andrews. She attended Guilford schools and got her high school diploma from Nokomis Regional High School. For many years she helped her husband, Elmer, on the family farm and worked other various jobs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, making porcelain dolls, sewing, knitting and raising horses. She attended the Corinna United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by four children, Judith Bowden and husband, Walt, of Newport, Paul Bolstridge and wife, Connie, of Lincoln, Chris Bolstridge and wife, Norma, of Hermon, Leslie Bolstridge and wife, Sandy, of Corinna; a sister, Pauline Leland and husband, Harold, of Sangerville; 14 grandchildren to whom she was a loving grandmother, Nathan Stuart and wife, Tamara, Daniel Stuart and wife, Bobbie, Paul Bolstridge, Matthew Bolstridge and wife, Amanda, Jamie Bolstridge, Douglas Bolstridge, Tiffany Wheeler, Josh Wheeler, Jennifer Holt and husband, Scott, Christopher Bolstridge, Robby Jandreau, Logan Bolstridge and Will Hesketh; three great-grandsons, Matthew Lee Bolstridge, Kyle Oglesby and Jacob Holt; three great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Holt, Madison Stuart and Alyssa Vargo; nieces and nephews, Thomas Costello, Jane Pitcher, Steven Costello, Sharon Costello, James Leland, David Leland, Jolene Wickett, Jeff Gordon and Pamela Smith; stepmother, Livonia Andrews. She was predeceased by her parents; an infant daughter, Debbie; sisters, Evelyn Gordon and Marion Costello; son-in-law, Ronald Stuart; granddaughter, Kimberly Jandreau; and niece, Linda Gordon. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Spring burial will be in the Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
