ST. FRANCIS – Irene (Thibodeau) Baker, 92, wife of the late Albert Baker died Jan. 30, 2005, at a local healthcare facility in Fort Kent. She was born Dec. 6, 1912, in St. Francis. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 1982. She was the second daughter of Gilbert and Agnes (Dubay) Thibodeau. Her mother died when she was 11 years old. She was brought up thereafter by Isadore and Annie Jandreau. She will be remembered for being a great cook and the beautiful things she used to knit. She is survived by two sisters, Lucienne Baker of Houlton and Marion Welch of Searsport; one brother-in-law, John Sinclair and his wife, Rose, of Fort Kent; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her only brother, Robert in 1987; and her eldest sister, Alphena Jandreau in 1998. At her request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. In lieu of flowers, please make your donations in her memory to Forest Hill Manor Activities Fund, 25 Bolduc Avenue, Fort Kent, ME 04743, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 163 Lancaster St., Suite 160B, Portland, ME 04101-2406. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are being conducted by the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
